Criteria
The solution was based on a new hi-end Hitachi Data Systems disk storage system—Universal Storage Platform V (USP VM).
To ensure availability of up-to-date data copies in the Backup Center, data replication technologies based on SAN data network were used.
Information arrays from the data centre were backed up with SAN technology to the devices in the Backup Centre. For online backup of VMware’s virtual infrastructure, a mechanism for remote virtual machine mirroring was devised.
