The global market for hyperconverged solutions is growing rapidly. A couple of years ago, its size was relatively modest, but by 2018 it reached a volume of $ 4–5 billion, and by 2023 it would grow to $ 17–24 billion – such conclusions can be made based on the reports of various analytical agencies. The reasons for the dynamics – in the demand for “digital transformation”, because one of Hyper-Converged Infrastructure solutions are the foundations of this complex process.
Recall that the HCI class includes infrastructures in which hardware components – servers, storage, network equipment – are closely integrated not only among themselves, but also with special software for virtualization and management. Moreover, unlike just “convergent” systems, here the integration takes place at the level of the solution architecture.
Traditional customers of such systems around the world are telecommunications companies, cloud service providers, financial institutions, industrial enterprises and government organizations. The global leader in the hyper-converged infrastructure market today is the American company Nutanix.
