Fozzy Group is one of the largest commercial and industrial groups in Ukraine. The company is the leader in Ukrainian retail market with over 600 outlets across Ukraine and over 35 000 articles sold. In addition to trade networks, the group’s business interests include food production and restaurant business.
Tasks
Expansion of Fozzy Group’s trading network necessitated the development of the SAP for Retail project.
Criteria
Initially, a solution based on the IBM System p 570 scalable UNIX servers and IBM DS4000 storage systems was deployed.
The second stage involved an upgrade of the system based on System p 570 servers with POWER6 processors. Also, a solution based on a high-end HDS USP V storage system with virtualization of existing HP EVA and IBM DS systems was added.
At the final stage, IBM BladeCenter systems, standard Intel-based servers, SAN storage network equipment, and IBM DS4000 series storage systems were supplied and upgraded.
